Default E60 525ise driving me crazy !!!

My 525i se remote locking has stopped working , i had an auto locksmith check the keys (this guy is really good) he said the keys are fine so no choice took it to main dealer for diagnostics £60 later no faults showing on the car still charged but did hoover and wash it for me !!!? any way they said i need new keys the car is fine anyway needed id etc to order new keys and was in work the following day so never ordered , after work i put led bulbs in the number plate lights and lo and behold key remote started working great i thought everything works remote boot, locks , windows everything worked for a day then..... just stopped again
and i cant figure out what i done to get them going its driving me mad any help or suggestions appreciated i dont know whether to go back to the dealer and tell them the keys are fine and look for a refund for a misdiagnosis?

Please search 'diversity amplifier'. Very likely, that's failing.

Do you have second key? If so, the remote functions on that key work ok?

If the diversity antenna is tested to be functioning ok, then the battery in both keys must be on last leg.
In that case, you have two choices - either open the keys and replace the battery or buy a new key.
