hi everyone i'm new to the bm world and am looking to buy either the 530d or the 525d prob on a 53 or 04 plate my question is that is the 525d under powerd or is it ok and which one is better of the two

well 1st how many miles has it done ?
what is the options in both of the the car?
are the is under warranty?
any mods on them?
I have nerver driven a D before but my guess is to get 525d cos I have a 525i and there is not that much diffrence in the 2 apart from 20% more money in HK.

well i dont no much about the E60 so i dont no what options are standard and what not i'm lookin to buy standard not modded, to be honest i'v not really looked that much cos in my opinion its pointless lookin when i dont even no what i'm lookin for
plus im not in a hurry atm just trying to get as much info on them all the bad points and good points i personally was swayed towards the 530d but would like to no what y'all think

I say go for the 530. bigger engine will give you more power. if i could start all over in choosing a car, id get one with a bigger engine preferably a 550 or 535d

The 530 is a much better car, nothing against the 525 but the power improvement to 530 is VERY noticeable.
I had to make the same decision when I bought mine and test drove them back to back, 530 first. When I drove the 525 I noticed a big difference, especially when accelerating uphill.
Also a late 2003 early 2004, 530 has PDC as standard, on the 525 it was optional, those parking sensors and screen are very effective.

cheers for your advice everyone i'm leaning towards the 530d too
well i didnt mean that it had to be 53/04 i meant i'm not going to buy new so the cheapest ones or the only ones fittin ma budget are the 53/04 plates
