My Ride: 2007 BMW 530i Silver Grey M-sport/Premium

I just took delivery of my 07 Silver Grey 530i m-sport/prem the other day. Its an awesome car.
I have a set of 17" style 66 m-sport rims that were used as winter rims for an E39 M5 (5-spoke split), will they work as winter wheels for my E60? I am pretty sure they are 20mm offset as it says "IS 20" on the back of the rim. Do you guys think this rim would look good?
Also, the car has runflats, so what winter tires would be good for the car? I would like to get winter runflats, but do you guys think it is worth it, or just rely on BMW assist if I get a flat?
Also, about the tire pressure monitoring, are the sensors req'd if there is no mention of TPMS in idrive? I think all E60's have the indirect monitoring that use input from the abs sensor, so I should be ok here right?
Thanks in advance,
David

If I remember correctly, the 07 model years carry the TP sensors in the wheels and don't use the indirect wheel speed measurement anymore.
The E39 wheels are perfectly fine in size and offset, but you will need hubcentric spigot rings to reduce the larger centre bore of the E39 wheels to E60 size. Otherwise you'll get mighty shakes in the front wheels around the 55mph mark. The rings you need will reduce from 74.0mm -0/+0.1 to 72.5mm -0/+0.1.
Some also call them 74.1 to 72.6 incorporating the tolerance.

I switched to Non run flats for my winter tires. The sensors in the tires are really expensive!! $380 for a set of four. What happens is that The TPM sensor will give an alert and a light on the dash at start up. My dealer stated that most folks 'live with the light on' for the winter. That is what I am doing and it is not very annoying.
