Hello, I have gotten the Dynamic Drive Failure message twice. It happened both times when I should have downshifted to second going into a turn. The message goes away after the car is shut down and restarted. If I look at my iDrive menu for car data, I get the all systems ok. Anyone experience this issue? Does it happen because there was excessive roll? Isn't that what the system is supposed to do, reduce the roll if I go into a turn with to much speed? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

There's nothing wrong with your car. It goes away with a software update.
Had a similar situation.

I've had three DDF messages. It's in the shop again. The software update didn't fix it. The car corners very poorly without it.

I had two of them as well. After you reboot (restart) the car they both went away. Brought to dealer right after the first one but since i turned off the car no error code was stored. They both happened under different circumstances and happened within a week of one another. Has not happened since. Also had active steering failure twice with the same result.
