So my cd changer magazine was stuck in the changer a few weeks ago, and on the morning that I dropped the car off at the dealer to get it fixed, I noticed on the I-drive menu within the "entertainment" sub menu, across the top it had the standard fm am wb sat and cd listed, but it also had dvd listed Never saw it on there before, and when I picked the car up from the dealer, it wasn't on there anymore. Anyone explain this?

 

That dvd icon is for cars with navigation and can only be used for that or I believe cd's as well ) If you have nav it should be listed on there

 

I do have nav.......the dvd icon was only listed on the screen for a short period of time....and I couldn't select it (wasn't in bold)

 

You can't select it, because you probably had your nav disc in the drive.
This disc contains data.
The drive can only play songs.
If you put a dvd with mp3 music files in, or a regular music CD, the DVD icon will be bold and can be chosen.

But unfortunately it can't play DVD movies... Just to answer this question before you ask.

The nav disc I always leave in the drive.....and "dvd" has not been listed as an option on the screen....ONLY time was when the changer locked up. So if I put a music cd in the dvd drive...then the dvd icon is there, and is selectable?
