I think I do. BMW, I'm sorry!
Would have been nice if the car "knew" what was wrong and indicated some type of a transmission fault though - it was not easy to figure out the misfire codes were related to a flywheel problem. Also, I wish BMW of Manhattan would have had the prowess to check this when I complained of the gearbox being way too notchy on engagement when cold. Now I know, that's a sign. But all in all, it is a welcome change for me - I was not in the right place to get a new car, so being able to keep this one a bit longer actually will allow me to continue with my life (sans a few grand for the parts and repairs).
I will post a new thread with the write up for the fix, a couple of new mods and of course, the pics - when the car is ready. Thank you, everyone, for all the support and kind words! This forum's still the best!!!
