Mine doesn't seem to be, but, you know, BMW software, so variation seems to be something of a rule.

Right you are. Maybe turning off DTC has a greater effect on xi models, because it feels like more power is sent to the back wheels. Also, I can throw the car into corners a little faster when taking turns with DTC off.
