This may sound fairly stupid or obvious however the story is that I drove through fairly deep water during a large rain storm yesterday afternoon. I had no choice as it was on a fairly major highway, it was bumper to bumper traffic, you couldn't turn off to get away from it, and everyone else was driving through it. Aparently the water was high enough to reach the fog light bulbs which caused them to blow out since I had them on. So, the moral of the story is first don't drive through deep water unless you have no choice and second, turn off the fog lights!! Thankfully nothing else happened!

Too bad, thanks for the tip. In regards to using Fogs I see more and more drivers using them when it is not necessary.

My Dinan 3 was totaled in the last rain storm 2 months ago, and that is why i now have a 545I. Yesterday I headed home once the rain started and reversed up a street because I saw deep water.

Sorry to hear that Lomag, I went to JFK last night and I was sitting on the Belt Pkwy for over 2 hrs because of massive flooding. Finally, got to an exit and took local streets to get to where I was going.

Thanks for the tip!!

Nothing else happened?? You risk a foglight thread and say nothing else happened??!! My god, the newbies have no idea what they're saying now.

Rudy, do you think we need a poll to determine how many old-timers there are that understand the f**l**ght reference? I don't even like to use the word in this forum.
