Hi,

I have activate the the DRL in Idive but upon starting the engine, the AE did not light up. Is the DRL for 05 E60 supoose to light up the AE or is there other function for it? Appreciate any kind advice...thanks and cheers...

I may have this wrong, being fairly new myself. The AEs are DRLs only on LCI models ('08 and later)

On my 05, the DRL's are just the inside headlights, not AE's. I have to turn on the parking lights for the AE's to light up.

Are there any other light inside the head light except for the AE and xenon?

By inside, I mean the two lights towards the middle of the car. See the DRL's on in my photo attached.

It should work as long as your light switch is set to Auto, does the green light on the switch stay solid when the light is on?

on the 05 the main dipped light will act as your DRL as said above rather then the AE. There is a guide on here to manually wire the AEs to the internal light circuit and a switched live to act as welcome light and DRL... have a look in the DIY section.

Don't know about '05e60's made for the A/P market ... but in the USA DRLs can only be activated by the dealer unless you try to fool with the wiring of the car. That was changed for late '07 models so the feature can be turned o/off via iDrive.
