Has anyone experienced a fault concerning the trap function on their windows. i get an error message saying the driver window trap function disabled. So now the window will not auto-raise. What are my options? Can I reset it without going to the dealer. All the other windows work as expected.

Thanks for any advice.

I had that happen once about a year back or so. The fix, I think, was to hold the button up a few seconds after you get the window in the full up position. That cleared the failure for me. Not sure if that is still the current fix or not.

If you experience again the same problem in the future, then you will have a great opportunity for a free software upgrade

I got that msg and tried all the resets myself. Turns out that after the v25 update, my SA told me it was a software issue. No harware was changed. I was running v23 prior to the latest Progman (v25)

I have had the same problem a couple of times over the past two years. On one occasion the home remedy worked, but I had to take the car back to the dealer twice for repair. Each time it was software they claimed. There have been posts by memebers who had to have power window hardware replaced to fix the problem.

Good luck.
