From day one, my new car seems to be dripping fluid from under the passenger front bumper near the wheel well.

I have not had the AC on and thought it strange. It seems to be the consistancy of thin oil and is staining my garage floor. I was changing my fog bulbs today and got a closer look. The underside of the plastic panel on the passenger side of the bumber has slats in it as if it was designed to allow this stuff to drip down there.

Could this benormal?

Anyone know what this stuff might be? I was planning on putting a HID ballast in that space, I am now not sure I want this stuff bathing the ballast.

Thoughts?

Doesn't sound right. I think you may have an oil leak. I know there are oil lines that run near the radiator. Also could be a coolant leak or AC leak. I'd take it to the dealer and see what they say. It could be just cosmoline that they spray the car with when shipping too.

I'm not if its the same but I had the similar leak somewhere around the front wheels. Not very much, just a drop or two during the night. They replaced the sway bar under warranty. No more leaks.

Thanks.

I guess having a 15" puddle under the car every morning isn't normal. I'll take it in to be looked at.

Halogen fluid is also a possibility. Did you overfill the headlights?

Sometimes muffler bearings fail and leak, but they are further back under car.

The transmission oil heat exchanger was leaking.
