I went to a Mobil gas station in LA last night. Both 87 and 89 octane were out. I don't want to start a chaos here, becuase other gas station are okay with their supply. I go to that gas station for over 10 years, never seen that happen in the city.

No. Imperial Gallon is. 1 US gallon is only 3.7854 liters, vs. 4.546 liters for the Imperial gallon.

Trade in for a Prius. No kidding unless of course your wife hauls a boat and 10 kids around town every day.

Guys/Gals, hold your grounds and remember why you bought that bimmer. Those Prius forums are laughing at us. They have their day and we will have ours. Win some, lost some . . .

Instead of a prius, I suggest to rather use a Lexus RX400 as hybrid car. The power of the engine(s) seems more attractive! <_<

Never thought to see yankees complaining about oil prices! Now you start to understand why diesel engines are so popular in Europe.

I would suggest to all of you, American E60 lovers, to start to write to BMWNA asking them to import AT ONCE 530d and 535d.

With a 272 hp 535d you can easily do 26-27 miles per U.S. gallon and still to outperform most of gasoline sedans cruising around!

Go to diesel, guys!

I don't consider RX400 or new Accord hybrid a "green" car. They are made to target people who like to owned a "hybrid" because it a hot item and it feel like it's environment friendly.

For me, these cars just save few miles for a gallon, they are not environment friendly at all, and it cost 2000 to 4000 more.

I hope car makers can make more cars like Prius, focus on good mileage then of course increase the performance.

How about a GMC Sierra Hybrid? http://www.automobilemag.com/reviews...sierra_hybrid/. I think this is hilarious. The electric motor actually doesn't contribute to the drive train at all. It's used to start the truck quickly so the engine can be shut off when the truck isn't moving, and to provide auxillary power for power tools, etc. So you burn even more gas by brining all your AC stuff with you!
