I had the same problem. Fortunately I am still under bumper to bumper so they replaced it. If you just puchased your car your sales person may ask the service dept to cover it as an act of good faith. Trim is not covered by CPO.

You make find a local body shape to repaint it ?

I actually had the window switch plate replaces and the door pulls behind the wood were peeling so they replaced that also. I have notice the area near the passenger side seat buttons is peeling as well. Will have that fixed when I go in for oil change or brake flush, whichever comes up first this year.

If it's still under bumper to bumper, the worst that can happen is you ask the dealer to replace and they say "no." The driver and passenger sides were both peeling from the bottom, I asked at the next scheduled service, and when I picked up, they were replaced. Now to get the wood trim right next to it to stop rattling.........

I just had that whole panel replaced under warranty. Mine was peeling real bad and I just asked and they got the piece in for me. Check your steering column too...i noticed the same peeling there as well!

it should. i know a lot of people with 330ci zhp pkg got their steering wheel replaced due to premature wear.
try it, but that's in USA. Don't know how dealers are in other countries.

I think that was unique to the alcantara cover on the steering wheel, which would "pil" and ball up like an old sweater. I don't know if covers regular wear on a normal steering wheel.
