I think that was unique to the alcantara cover on the steering wheel, which would "pil" and ball up like an old sweater. I don't know if covers regular wear on a normal steering wheel.

I see people saying theirs was under warranty. Mine is not. It’s a 2004 with 109,000 and I just bought it. Does anyone know where I can get those parts in grey? Thanks.
I have a 04 525i an all 4 window switches are peeling plus some near the radio/ a/c control buttons are, before I made any decision I wanted to find out what people thought would be better when it comes to restore these peeling parts, should I use some sort of paint the refinish the surfaces or do you guys feel that a wrap would be the better way to go? im not too worried about which one is harder or more time consuming im more concerned with the finished product and what it would look like along with the life span of the different methods?
