Door opened at speed!

When driving through Zurich a couple of days ago the drivers door went open!
I was taking a left hand 90 deg bend, at a roadwork area, at appr. 40 km/h.
All of a sudden my door opened like halfways. It did not swing fully open.
Central locking was locked and the locking pin was down. Very scary! I first thought taht is was the kids in the back that had managed to open one of their doors! :'(
Anyone experienced this?

Man, I've never heard of that one -- you might want to have the latches checked by the dealer, at least to go on record that it happened...

Get in and lock the doors like you normally do
Then get someone to pull on the door handle from the outside and see if the door opens.
If it does you have a problem with the latches and you must have it fixed
Else you may just not have closed it properly that day
