I think it would void the warranty on anything the mod might have affacted on your car. I.E. lowered suspension then going in claiming for interior rattles or the tyres wearing unevenly. The dension 500 would have to be removed before they would look at electrical problems like battery discharge messages and various other electrical items.

I agree with the above. Any issues linked with an area you have modded will not be covered. Worst case is that the whole electrical system is void due to adding ipod connection!!! Body work warranty void due to new grilles????
Personally I have not found my local dealer to be overly co operative since they took the cash off me!!!

I dont know how it works in the States and my comments were to the OP in the UK. Our warranty is already much cut down on what you guys get over there so they may be ok with you modding.

Some Mods will void the warranty, but MOST of them will not!

Doing a mod to your car does not void anything. Putting non oem recommended tires on your car is considered a mod.
The problem lies if something fails. Dealers have to prove with document logical evidence that the mod caused the failure and therefore it wouldnt carry a warranty for that specific issue.
IE lowered with broke control arms. Lowering put stress on the CA and because of that they broke.
