Thumbs down

I remvoved my fog lights out when I installed my BMW OEM M5 Front end, with fenders, and my idrive screen keeps giving me a error message:

"Right" or "Left" "Front fog lamp Malfunction!"

of course I know that their a RT or LT fog lamp malfunction, I took them out! (LOL)

QUESTION? Does anyone here at the forum know how can I get this error message off my idrive? DO I have to have a special idrive software tool? If so how much does it cost, and where can I obtain one at?

Thanks in Advance!

Yes, Gene is correct. You can either disable the check, but it'll still error if you press the button by accident, or remove it via vehicle order to eliminate it completely.

I guess the low cost solution would be to connect a fog lamp bulb to each fog lamp connector so that the system still thinks that the lamps are fitted.
