Does anyone here at the Forum know the best way to unplug the "RED" & "WHITE
TO THE BMW E60 Forum Peers & Friends, Members, well THE STUBBORN OEM 1&2 WHITE & RED SIGNAL WIRES, WHILE BEING CARFUL While I USED a set of PLIERS but the white & red connectors HAVE FINALLY released and CAME APART! Now I CAN MOVE ON THE INSTALL OF MY NEW BAV AUTO - Bimmian.com UPDATED ILLUMENTED SHIFT KNOB JOB IS 3/4 FINISHED! : ).
Thanks to the e60 and 5 series BMW forum for your advice, THANKS to my BMW NA Master Mecanic friend professional advice at 01:00 lat night! (THANKS Jeff) and Thanks to Ken Brown at Bav Auto and Allen at Bimmian.com tech for your time writng many emails (Thanks).
I should have my new illimemted shifter knob now installed back at my friends PTC GA BMW Garage on MONDAY Morning.
Sincerely,
Eddie aka Presley348

I know it sounds real simple, just plug n play and it most cars it is that way, But not in our well built BMW E60s, and today I tried to dissconnrect the two OEM (1&2) signal lines RED & WHITE with no success.
Does anyone here at the Forum ever had this happen to them, and if so how did you resolve the issue of RED AND WHITE CONNECTER not up plugging so I can get to work moving and adding cap nectars around know the best and easiest way to unplug the "RED" "WHITE" CONNECTER under the e60 shift console plate? (I tried the firm grip and trying the wiggle the CONNECTER while continue to pull with no success at ALL, Those two small RED & WHITE 3 wire ea connecter are in there,, It's SUPER TIGHT and what's the best way to unplug the two three wire ea CONNECTER?)
Please email me at Presley348@aol.com with the BEST WAY to unplug these two SUPER TIGHT AND plugged RED & WHITE 3 wire each connecters. I Mean I like most the rest have NEVER had a problem like the one I encountered today in my garage while I had my OEM LINE 3 CONNECTER and renected about 3/4 the way of having my new Bimmian updated illumemted gear shift knob on the way of a full
Install but these two RED and WHITE CONNECTER not wanting to dissconnect made my day! Not. Really talking about an aggravating OEM plug "THAT WILL NOT RELEASE" these are it! (LOL)
I could put more force pulling side to side on t but I am afraid it might pull wires loose from
The connector itself.
Thanks in Advance!
Sincerely,
Presley348

Thanks and I will try that now, (if that procedure don't work, I am considing using a set of pliers wrapped with black tape not to marr the WHITE & RED OEM SIGNAL connector surface), to grip, wiggle RT to LT while pulling,
The two OEM Signal wire CONNECTERS located under our e60 shifter console plate, that are "PLUG" N "PLAY" for Some, : ) but to non BMW wiring experts these 2 OEM RED & WHITE connecter PLUGS have been a real pain trying to get them to release on my 2004 e60,
I have pictures on my iPhone 4S to post, and tell me how to post them here and I will.
Thanks in advance my e60 forum friends! R. E. Presley aka Presley348. : )
