Hello all,

First I wanted to thank this forum for helping me to decide on 2004 545. After reading this forum, I finally have decided to purchase 2004 545. My specs are
alpine white w/ black interior, prem. package, sport package, weather package, Nav, and HUD. I have been quoted for $59,645 w/o tax. Bascially $2500 over invoice. Is this a fair deal? Thanks.

ps: do you guys think HUD is more of a gadget or is it really practical?

You guys are very lucky, at todays exchange rate, that spec in the uk would be $20,000 more than that at about $80,000

(and your fuel is about 20% of the cost of ours !!)

I'm afraid its all taxes here in the UK

That sounds about where I ended up...

545i Auto
Sport Package $3300.00
Cold weather $750.00
Premium Sound $1800.00
Comfort Seats $1200.00
No Nav/Hud (ex-Navy pilot so the HUD didn't impress me and no need for NAV)

Pre-tax Total Price $59,000 ($695 destination included)

2.5k over invoice is great for a 545. I just wonder if they'd do 2k over invoice. I think your specs sound AWESOME though. I'm not sure where you live beause your location is not listed, but I wonder if you can do without the Cold Weather package?

Tekor-
I haven't taken delivery yet but I have test-driven a 545 w/sport seats and comfort seats and found the sport seats to be too firm for my taste. Comfort seats are more plush and I had no trouble finding a good driving position. I have a 75 mile round trip commute so for me it was worth the extra $...especially since I didn't need the NAV since I know how to get to work, airport, golf course, etc...

Sounds pretty good. Great color choice too.
