Although it might look like its sitting high but doesnt the sport package come automatically with the 6 speed on the V8s? At least I thought they did in 2005, not sure about 2007

Here is the ad:
2007 Bmw 550i Black on Peanut Butter (terracatta) Leather 6 Speed manual transimission. 29k miles. Navigation. Clean title Clean Carfax. Drives great!! No scratches or dents. Perfect shape.
Call for more info. 9 2 5 - 2 6 0 - 6 2 5 1. Located in Concord, CA.
The seller never mentioned sport package. Looks like he made his car look somewhat like SP 550 (shadow trim, 124 wheels) but otherwise it is a basic 550 with 6-speed and navi. Price is kind of OK and will probably go down by $3-4K after some haggling, but I would never consider a 550 or any other BMW (except for M-cars) w/out the SP.

This is not a sport package car. The seats would be either sport or comfort on an 07 SP, of which these are neither. That's why the ride height looks odd. My guess is the original owner purchased the shadowline and the 124 wheels as accessories (though it baffles me why anyone would do that instead of just getting the sport package - maybe it's some grandma who was plain scared to get the sport pack? LOL)
I strongly recommend against BMWs without the sport package. You get much more for your money with it. Plus, if you hang in there a little longer and keep looking, you might find an 08 sport package car within your price range, which will alredy have the M-tech bumpers and skirts, 19 in wheels AND the comfort seats, not to mention the sport 3 spoke steering wheel and a bunch of other goodies. It's a buyers market now, so make the most of it! Good luck!

Thanks for all the input everyone. I suspected something wasn't quite as advertised (it says "Sport" in the title of the ad). I just happened to have an extended drive this evening with a friend's 335i Coupe tip non-SP. It was very nice. Solid and quick. If it had a 6-speed and SP, I think I wouldn't need anything more. The only thing favoring an e60 would be the extra room (which I rarely need) and the "prestige" factor (which is always nice).
