Do non-OEM wheel sizes affect the DSC?

Just curious - running certain, different size wheels on Corvettes can trigger the traction control. The car believes the tires are slipping due to the rotation differences versus stock sizes. Can/Does this happen on E60's with aftermarket wheels?
Hi.
My first thought would be no, since the DSC measure the speed of each wheel and compares it to detect any wheelspin/slip. It also compares this to the steering wheel angle to measure out which wheel to brake if the car skids.
The only harm non-OEM wheels whould do, is t make your speedo show a "wronger" speed.
Tommy.

It's been awhile since I tinkered with drive ratios - bu I'm pretty sure if you run larger rims, then you need lower profile tires to keep the wheel diameter the same, otherwise your speedo/odo will be off until you get it recalibrated.
I don't think DSC would engage since it checks for the difference in rotation speed between right and left, which would suggest slip. Hopefully someone with larger aftermarket wheels on their car can chime in.

I run 20" wheels and it doesn't trigger the DSC. That said, I would suspect you could trigger it if you run rims/tires outside the 1-3% of stock rolling diameter. The difference in size could affect it, but my wheels/tires are not big (or small) enough to trigger it.
