I read about this Dynamic Drive technology. Do I still need the sport suspension when I have Dynamic Drive?
Will the sport suspension give a hard ride?

I'm in the process of purchasing a car which has the M Sport suspension and Dynamic Drive so I thought I'd add my comments. I've not driven an SE E60 so my opinions are based on experiences in an M Sport.

I don't feel the suspension gives it a hard ride but at the same time, I think if you have Dynamic Drive then you wouldn't need sports suspension unless you wanted the lower riding height. Dynamic Drive does an amazing job of keeping the car flat when going round corners (much better job than an M Sport car without DD).

So to answer your question:
1. No you don't need sports suspension if you have DD unless you want the drop in ride height.
2. Sports suspension doesn't give a hard ride but it will be less softer than an SE variant.

quick answer is yes, you "need" the sport suspension!

I have dynamic drive without sport suspension and my car feels like a boat compared to my dad's sport without dynamic drive, I much prefer the handling of his car. the M-sport is noticably harder than the sport and is not possible with the dynamic drive anyway. to me the sport suspension is perfect for this car, much better handling than the non-sport and still comfortable.
