Want to go for remap as heading for the Ring in July but need to be sure which is best.
I know there have been loads of threads but thought I woukld ask again now members have had chance to experience the thrills.
Superchips costs ?511.13 and gives you: -
Original bhp : 272
Original nm : 560
BHP increase : 47
NM gain : 84
Lb/Ft gain : 62
DMS don't quote output on their website but say 0-60mph in 5.5 and 0-100 in 13ish. I'm waiting for a quote.
Or is there a better alternative?
Also does the 155mph limiter get removed as part of the deal with any of them?
Thanks

wetterauer.de for the *best* alternative...
BMWcar mag had a little comparo between the different chip-tuners 2-3 months ago and found that superchips were a very good option. Of course the DMS software is bespoke and gives you a LOT more power. I would consider wetterauer/kelleners if you are going to germany

Still have the 155 limiter, not a prob (maybe at the ring) really enhances the car on the road.

Youll get a discount for being an E60 member (15%) and if you go to them even more.

I thought the limiter was removed with the remap ? ......I have seen 163 via gps and thought vmax was 172
Doesn't the remap get wiped off when you go for a CIP software update ?

Had mine done by www.e-maps.co.uk
Have used Simon many times before and the result is just brilliant.
Defo go for it and don't worry about quoted figures. They won't be accurate to the hp and all will be about roughly the same. E-maps is substantially cheaper, but if you want to go with DMS, iirc, they offer BMWland members 25%.
Mine was only done yesterday, and I'm glad I did it. If it gets wiped by BMW, Simon comes out and reinstalls it foc, too.
Whoever you choose, get it done, it's worth it. Don't go hunting for figure claims. It's the development of the new found torque that's the sensation.
