Tyre wear ratings allow you to compare between tyres from the same manufacturers pretty well.

They are pretty useless for comparing different makes.

I guess another option is to just keep flipping the Dunlop runflats (at least Dunlop is what my 05 545 came with) because there is still a service bulletin out there (apparently) and a few weeks ago the dealer gave me a new set of Dunlop runflats - the car had 12K mi on it - if they want to give me a new set every 12K/1year...let them have at it!

What did the new bulletin say? I have replaced the RFT's once and already I'm irrated by the ammount of road noise "new" ones generate. If I could go back to the dealer (w/o being "that guy") and switch them out I would happily do so.

That's what I thought but I've been doing some googling and it appears they are all relative to a 'control tyre' so it should give a rough idea between makes too!?

I'm loving my Eagle F1's , but I did just come off RFT's so my viewpoint is relative to previous RFT experience (which was not a happy one!).
