Hey guys,
I've been working on a DIY add a sub project on my 08 535i. Everything is installed, except for the power wire connection to the battery. I have the proper fuse 6" from the battery...
I know these cars are picky about battery replacements and the like, but do I need to do anything special to add my cable other than undo the positive batt cable, add my wire and clamp it back down? I will disconnect the negative first so there is no sparks show.
Thanks in advance,
George

Ok in case anyone else does this.
Open the trunk and a door and wait for the car to go to sleep. (Lights off).
Disconnect Negative, connect power wire, reconnect negative. No warnings or errors. Had to reset the time on the clock.
Kept my bt phone pairing and the like.
Take care,
George
