How do the directions appear on the HUD? does it say what street you are on or only arrows?

The Nav in my Range Rover is about 10 times better. At least with my Range I can search for the name of a store or location. I can't believe they don't have this feature in the BMW.

Dude, you have no idea what you're talking about. BMW has always had this feature in their nav systems and it works quite well. The phone numbers are there too so you can call the store on your integrated (bluetooth) cell phone.

I asked this a while ago about my 2005 545i with NAV, and the answer was NO, you can't search by business/restarurant or any POI name....

I've navigation systems in two Lexus, BMW, Infiniti and Mercedes..... BMW is the worst by far..... the new systems in the 2006 Infiniti and Lexus are by far the best.... no comparison...

I also have a navigation system in my Lexus and I've used the Infiniti one. Yes, it's clearly easier to use the Lexus - the touch screen is great. But the fact that the BMW is the only one that allows you to use it while driving is HUGE to me.
