Disa valve causing fuel-cut misfire on cylinder #3?

On my 545i, I had a DISA valve error and the dealer wanted $1200 to replace it. I removed the valve and I found there were 2 wires on the electrical motor that had come unsoldered. I resoldered them and the error went away and it works great. That was 3 years ago and still working.
