I noticed my odometer was at 6777 miles today.
This is weird because last Sunday it was at 4000 miles. I remember because I had checked the miles to oil service remaining and it was at 7000 and I had checked the odometer and it was 4k.
We took a short trip on Sunday about 150 miles round trip.
What's going on?

I like the UFO theory too but my money is on the miles getting switched to Kilometers
4000 Miles (statute) equals 6437.38 Kilometers
150 Miles (statute) equals 241.402 Kilometers
4000 miles + 150 miles = 6678.782 Kilometers
4000 Miles (statute) equals 6437.38 Kilometers
150 Miles (statute) equals 241.402 Kilometers
4000 miles + 150 miles = 6678.782 Kilometers

First of all, I didn't mess with the "units" setting.
Secondly, I checked the display this morning and it returned to the correct mileage. I then changed the units to kms and it went to the number I referred to earlier plus about 75 miles that I drove last night.
Wtf?
