I have an older 535d and love it to bits! Remapped 20in rims .. And all the extra's I needed .. Electric heated Memory seats, pro Nav, cd changer, Aux in, spoiler - Awesome!
Was only one thing missing .. Paddle shift for faster gear changes!
Decided to sell it and sold it within a few mins! Mistake?hmm
So I start the search for my next car..
A few needs:
2008 model 535d
Heated electric Leather
Sat Nav Pro
Now I so desperately want paddle shift that I have missed a few good cars! There is one on at a silly price but no Nav or heated seats!
What is the total price to get a steering wheel put on? I can source the wheel and buttons for around 500.. Maybe cheaper if anyone knows better..
The main Q here is .. While looking I have found 2 types of gear levers..
One with a sport button and a small leather gaitor & paddle shift..
The other just a metal get knob thing no leather gaitor
If I buy without paddle shift and has not got the sport button.. Will it make a difference when I add the wheel later?
Or Would it be cheaper adding sat Nav?

A huge thank you for all the help! And the warm welcomes.. ;-))
Sport button only on paddle shift models.. Great!
And putting it in later is a pain so buy a car with it in .. So I was told on the other forum..
So today put my deposit down on a 535d 2008 with paddle shift - and lost out on the nav!

Paddle shifts (not gear levers) can be retrofitted fairly easy if you source the parts.
Check out this site for more info: http://www.jlevistreetwerks.com/m100...duct_info.html
Nav is easily retrofitted as well: https://5series.net/forums/topic/108...nswers-please/
Cheers!
