Hi all,

Does anybody know if there is a comparison list which shows what you get in the standard no-spec E60 in each country? Based on the posts in these forums it seems to vary quite considerably. I'd be very interested to see a table which shows maybe just one particular model and then the country, and then a list of options with tick boxes to show was is standard and what is extra.

Atleast in Sweden heated seats and headlight washers ar std. due to our climate. Other than that there are not of much std. equipment.

In the UK front and rear park distance control is standard - is that universal?

None of these are standard in Germany, we pay most that's my feeling and it is annoying, especially when you look to US where BMW is cheaper by far and is offering an extended warranty. In Germany you have to pay for any service or new wipers e.g. even within the warranty.

How much would you pay for an 520d with:

Professional Satellite Navigation
Visibilty pack (Xenon, adaptive, washers)
Hi-Fi Sound System

It's ?30,000 in the UK, which is around $60,000 or EURO43,500.

That's the same as Swedish prices.

47,160 ?uro... and not even the PDC is standard here. For metalic paint you have to pay extra as well... You can check BMW.de and use the configurator to see it yourself...

Here is standard on 545i/550i, but not on the others .
Usually in Germany cars are cheaper but completely *empty* .

Lucky you...

A 520d with abovementioned options would cost more than 56K Euro in Holland. And then you don't have metallic paint (which is 1600+) and it will come with 16" wheels. An automatic transmission costs approx 3500.

I think the E60 is just as basic in Holland as it is in Germany, only prices are way higher due to our BPM tax. We do however have some special option packages, like "Executive" and "High executive" for the most wanted options at a (slightly) reduced price.

Another interesting discount is the "business package" which I got on my car. It contains:
-Business Navigation
-Bluetooth
-Alarm
For only 1995 Euro. This is actually a very good deal.

Still it's ridiculous that I pay ~30% more for my car than my next door neighbours in Germany (I live 10km from the border). I thought we were 1 Europe...
