My Ride: My ex-ride: EU '08 LCI 520dA. Space Grey, Sport Seats in Black Leather/Fabric Anthracite, Sport Steering Wheel, A/C with Extended Features, Hi-Fi Speakers, Cup Holders, Cruise with Braking function, Folding Rear Seats, Xenons, Park Distance Control.

This is my 4,000 th post on the e60.net Forum!
To celebrate that, I can now proudly announce that I did today sign the order documents for a
LCI E60 EU MY ’08 520dA with the new 177 hp and 350 Nm engine.
It will be my third E60 and 14th BMW but my first diesel.
Production of the car will be in December and delivery in January 2008.
Extras:
Automatic transmission
Exterior color, Space Grey
Interior, Anthrazit fabric / Black leather combo (Reflex) with standard grey interior trims (Edit: only fabric
)
Style 244 wheels with RF 225/50 17" tires (brand unknown)
Winter tires Nokian RSi RF 225/50 17” also with Style 244 rims
Xenon lights
Auto A/C with extended features
PDC
Cruise control with braking assistant
Sport steering wheel
Hi-Fi speakers
Cup holders
Fold back rear seats
Chrome kidneys (the 520d doesn't have them standard)
Defa heating system
List price in Finland about 67,000 Euros.

Congratulations, looks really nice from the configurator pictures. I was never really taken by the SE looks, but those wheels in that colour looks really nice.
Does SE no longer have the chrome trim around the windows? I think that's what put me off the most.

Welcome to the "diesel" club.
I'm on my second now, and don't think I'll be going back to a petrol (unless its an "M" of course
)
Just one thing though. I'm pretty sure that the 520d is the only LCI auto not to get the new 'joystick' style auto gearlever as shown in your config pics. That only comes as standard from 525 upwards. New 520ds still get the pre-LCI lever.
Might wanna confirm this?

520d is with the new autotranny from Sep 2007 production - together with new engine which both came with European MY 2008.

The EU MY '08 really has the new 6-gear autobox for the new 2.0 l diesel engine.
I also see the new safety headrests and aux-in as good improvement.
