Does anyone know the diameter and or circumference of the sports steering wheel? I am not sure if the sports steering wheels differ from model to model but i have a 535i w/o sports package and would like to measure the difference of the two. Any help is appreciated.

I don't have any actual measurements but when I switched to the M steering wheel I compared it to my old standard wheel and noted that the dia. is smaller on the M wheel (by at least 1/2 " or more sorry can't remember) eventhough it is thicker. If you plan on changing steering wheels you might as well go for an M wheel. Just my 2 cents. Hope this helps.

Hi when you mean m steering wheel, do you mean the m sport or M5 steering wheel? I am also wondering is there a difference between the normal round airbag steering wheel vs the msport one whereby visually looking the same except it comes with a additional m logo and hand grip. Thanks.

M5 wheel comes with red and blue stitching but I think airbag is the same and I think buttons may be arranged different but I know for sure it has an M button. I also thought about getting an M5 wheel but opted out instead, just out of respect for real M5s. Just saying bro. I hope you make the decision that makes you happy good luck.

the m sport adds the thumb grips at 10 and 2 o clock. still black stitching and same leather grade. the one on the m5 is the same size/shape but is a higher grade leather and adds the tricolor stitching.

Despite much knowledge being offered about sports steering wheels, I don't think anybody answered your original question about the wheel diameter. My 2008 530d M-sport (NOT the M5) LCI has a so-called sports steering wheel, the diameter of which is 15.0 inches/380 mm. Hope that helps with your decision.

as mentioned by brob, the E60 sport wheel measures 38 cm in diameter
the E90 sport one measures 37 cm in diameter
(i know its not relevant here, but just putting the info here for the people who use google to find that info, as I did, and had no luck so far...)
