anything built from September 2006 on has an LM2 - star69me - you just got depo lights which means you mustn't have had lci tails on the back. Yet your car is 07? Must have been registered late. You may well have an LM2 though, based on the manufacturing date, and it only needs coding to get welcome lights working.
The LM usually lives underneath the steering wheel, but above the gas pedal - there's a plastic cover with 4 screws and two push fit clips right at the top of it, close to the steering wheel, push down hard and it will release. Then on the right hand side you will see one hex nut that holds the LM, unscrew that and pull the LM down.
I say usually, because in some cases there may be a bunch of LM2s in the glovebox LMAO

@ sanjsanj yes my car is a 550 2007 but is wasn't the 550 sport which was strange to me I thought all 550 were sport I had the regular e60 front and rear jumpers. I put the mtech front bumper on in July from umnitza I'm still debating the 550 sport rear bumper or going with the M5 tech rear but I would have to quad my exhaust and my car was non lci so I had regular tail lights that's why I went with the depos. I also got the smoked side markers upgraded angle bulbs and I got the 2014 look joystick shifter from Bimmian.com. hummm I wonder where I can get coded 8 live in Jacksonville fl. We have some indy shops so I'll have to ask

non adaptive xenon lights do exist, but are vary rare, most came with the adaptive option.

Yes I do have adaptive lights tonight was my first time switching the light nob to the left. I live by a dark winding road so I took it and sure enough lights were moving. Wow so I need to be coded for welcome lights
I saw some demos on utube

lci didnt come out until 2008 cars here in the USA. i dont know if you get it earlier in the UK??
from 2004-2007 the 550 with sport package had 18" rims bmw style 124, sport suspension, but regular bumpers.
from 2008-2010 the 550 sport came with the mtec bumpers and sideskirts, along with 19" rims bmw style 172.

Also I'm sure someone on this forum said when they want LCI parts they look for 2007 cars on purpose, as there is a mix of pre lci and lci cars in this year but the breakers don't know this and are charging the cheaper, pre lci prices (e.g. for the tail lights).
Star, you should keep the rear bumper but just add the side skirts, look at 530dE60's ride, it this exact set up and looks immense! The SE bumper looks awesome with the m sport side skirts.
I may be in Fort Lauderdale next December if that's of any use? lol. But yeah just find anyone with NCSExpert to read your car and you'll find out if you have an LM2, otherwise just pop the cover off and read the label on the LM, it will say LM2 on it if it is.
