Am in the process of getting a 2006 e60 that comes with the standard ipod integration kit. Would it work with the iPhone 3gs or 4/4s?
sorry if duplicate, I couldn't find that info by search.

I thought it connects directly to the phone using an 'ipod' jack?
My goal is to be able to play music from my iphone/charge my iphone.. will it do that? The reason I ask is because the iphones are newer than 2006
can you answer calls from the car with bluetooth? Is this std on all e60s?

im having the same issue. as far as ive seen there is an additional connector piece but i believe wiring is involved to play music through the ipod jack and not through an aux cable

Did some research and found out that this may work with the default ipod kit. Default ipod kit that is installed in the glove box has the old pin configuration. Anybody used this Scosche product before?

Just in case someone sees this post in the future... if you have the OEM ipod integration, it won't work with the latest gen of iPhones. The Scosche adapter worked and I can charge my phone and use iDrive to scroll through songs/playlists.
Also, weird thing. Before I got the Scosche adapter, I tried connecting a buddy's 3rd gen ipod (from 2004) and iDrive did not seem to detect it. I didn't do much further research into this...
