...mystic blue kinda stayed the same...
That's why it's always better to see these colours for oneself.

Your description is apt. After I saw DSeaBlue on another car, I ordered the color for my 550i.
In direct sunlight, it appears blue (although much more understated than Monaco Blue), but in indirect sunlight, it has more of a gray/blue metallic appearance. At night, I guessed it would appear more "grayish" than blue.
How does this color appear at night?

I really don't know the foggiest thing about car paints, but I thought the blend of this color was interesting.
It's almost like owning a car with more than one paint job (or changing personalities depending on its' mood.)

I haven't really seen the car at night yet. It doesn't get dark until 11 p.m. in Sweden at this time of year and with small kids I don't stay outside till very late. Yesterday I washed the car and later in the evening when I was in the house looking out the car looked almost like carbon black.

After 6+ hours of Zaino today, I finally have some good pics of this beauty. This is a pic only post as I plan to post a thorough review in a week or so. Blue is definitely different than white during the polishing process but well worth the results.
Enjoy. Here is a teaser. (rest are on my site below)
