I debaged mine yesterday. For those who think its a poser trait, I would argue.
I personally find that some of those who oppose the debading are actually driving a V8 version of the E60, and consider others debadging as somehow their own limelight being stolen.
For instance, 545i or a 550i driver might get offended if he sees a debadged 525i, why? because for the rest of the world, someone stole his moment of pride. However, it is not the case for everyone. I debadged mine just for the smooth look.
A poser would be the one who puts a 530 badge on a 525. Or a bigger poser if he puts M badge on!
my 2 cents!

A compromise I'm considering is the shadow trim at Bimmian:
http://www.bimmian.com/SVE
It's low key, but not as cool as the clean rear end.
You can also spell out anything you want:
http://www.bimmian.com/LTR/
So, at $3 a letter,spelling out "POSER" would be a mere $15.

Hey everyone, my name's John and I just joined the forum. I gave up my '03 CLK55 AMG for a roomier '05 545i sport 6-speed. Drove the BMW and it felt like a BMW. Loved it and traded it immediately. I painted the front kidney grills black, tinted the windows 35% all around expect for rear window which was 20%. I have a fullt set of ACS front spoiler, side skirts, rear spoiler, roof spoiler, and trunk spoiler on its way. Tires are brand new so I am using it up until

How many people debadged their cars? I used to have an Evolution VIII and I debadged the whole thing since I really did not like Mitsubishi but loved the evo. Now my BMW is used so I am afraid it will leave a slight 545i on the trunk. What do you guys think? And I am not sure if I really should debadge it. Give me some feedback. Thanks.

and I wasn't going to debadge mine, but I got a CF trunk and I was too lazy to buy another 545i emblem. Looks good with or without it.
