Heated the glue with hair dryer then used dental floss to remove the stuck on numbers

this was my method.. WD40 and and some gas.. after you do so polish the area then wax and its like it was never there trust me it worksss.. alot of people will say the gas is a bad to put on paint but actully its used in detailing shops.. cept they call it solvent which is basically a distilled form of gas.. its used to remove tar stops and also to make smooth surfaces for compounding.. but like i said use polish after because you will be left with some swirl marks no mark which theories of our you use..good luck
