I'm still thinking the MPM is causing the CCC to fail -- it's certainly possible that the actual CCC is bad or was damaged due to the shorting of some wires but in most every case of spare tire well flooding I remember here on the forums, a damaged MPM was the source of the iDrive failure.

If warranty is covering the CCC replacement, then no big deal -- let them do it and see what happens. If you're paying for the replacement unit, have them verify that the MPM is functioning properly before agreeing to pay for the CCC...

Is this the unit that also controls the PDC? As this is the only unit in the spare wheel well?

No and no. The PDC is controlled by another unit in the spare wheel well. Sounds like you didn't take my earlier advice and search a bit on the micro power module -- here are just a few of the many threads about this issue:

I do not have the white box in ny spare wheel well only the black one. Where else may this MPM be if not in the spare wheel well?

Is it possible your car was damaged in a collision and not repaired properly. Another cause for body leaks except for damaged gaskets around boot etc. and sunroof drains.

Does the wiring harness back there have a connector where the white box (MPM) might connect? I'm speculating that at the last dealer visit they didn't replace the part and since you're saying that all of the stuff controlled (or powered) by the MPM is dead, it makes me think that you're missing the part now...

No Rudy there is no wiring loom for it and it was not there before this either. Could the MPM be anywhere else?
