Hi Everyone,
I'm brand new to this forum, so I appreciate anyone's feedback. I'm loving all the topics and conversations already!

My 07' 530i has 93k miles on it and the dealership warranty will be over at 100k. The dealership mentioned to get the transmission service and new spark plugs right before I hit 100k. Any suggestions in what other services I should get the dealer to take care of while I am still covered by the warranty?

Thanks!

I have a 08 535 and it has 200 miles before the warranty runs out. I was in need of an oil change and when I took it in the changed the brake fluid, inspection, spark plugs and a steering coupler which then gave em an alignment and fixed a couple items I had that needed attention. They will only service whats neeeded in the system or coming due within a certain mile range.

So I'll make sure they change out the brake fluid and check on the steering fluid also. Thanks that helps.

exactly. the dealer wont "look" for things to repair. best bet is to have an independent shop go over the car and make you a list of things needed, and then take it to the dealer.

Thats even a better idea, too bad I didn't think about that. I'm kinda fighting them at the moment about my right rear tail light that has internal crack/striations. They don't want to change it out because they said they were afraid they would get stuck with the cost... Hmmm If they don't I will be very clear to them they will clearly lose a future paying customer... Perhaps they wont care though!

Great idea about bringing it to another shop first!

Funny, I just went over my 50,000. I am glad because I get to do all the work now. I trust me...
