Dead spots on E60

I do Stranger's mirror alignment and save it to Seating Position 1. Then I do an alignment for parking/tight space purposes where I can see the side of the car and save that to Seating Position 2. When I switch between the two Seating Positions, all that changes is the side mirror alignment. My two cents...

I do the same. While I do set my mirrors as above, I have found that it doesn't completely replace glancing over your shoulder. On two or three lane roads, I can drive on mirrors only. But throw in another lane or two, and a general lack of lane discipline, and you have no choice but to look over you shoulder.

Count me in as another one who's been using the "unorthodox" method of adjusting the mirrors. Like JDN, I've been doing it that way for at least 10 years, probably closer to 15.

Once you get used to it, it really is a better, safer way...
