Well, a bit too fast with "everything OK"...
Got the car back from the dealer today (window module had to be ordered from Germany - not in stock in France).
The anti trap message is gone and the switch is operating the window BUT:

- Partly open / close (1st detent on the switch) works as foreseen.
- Full up or down positions (2nd detent on the switch) still need to be hold to effectively close / open the window - if I release the switch, the window stops.
- I tried the reset procedure as described in another post, carefully read Rudy's instructions without success.

1. Fully open the window
2. release the Sw then push open again and hold for 17 sec.
3. Pull to fully closed and hold - then I got the anti trap message (not a warning, just an advise - bottom of the nav screen).

... the window doesn't move down again (initialization sequence) and the problem remains...

The dealer says it could be the motor itself. Of course he told me about the problem before I got the car back but I needed her for this WE
Any of you guys encountered these symptoms or needed to try several times before succeeding or aggrees with the BMW dealer ?

It's an LCI (2008) 530D

Thanks for your imputs.

Etienne
