daytime running lights off?

Hey guys i just ordered a angel eye LED kit for my car, and i was wondering if anyone knows how to turn off the daytime running lights, is there a section on the DIY i couldn't find it, thanks in advance

Depends on the year of your car.
I had to go to the dealer to have them disable the daytime running lights.
Cost about $60. If your car is newer you can do it in the idrive I think.

You're only able to set it in iDrive on LCI (2008+)...anything older will have to be programmer by the dealer

On my '07 I can turn them off in the iDrive menu. But I can't set them to be the angel eye lights. I need to find the code to have the daytime running lights switched to the angel eyes so my dealer can reprogram it. Anyone know the code to switch them?

My Ride: '04 530d Executive, all options except sunroof and comfort seats
ECU remapped by ZipTuning to 260+bhp.
Updated to the latest software version last month, can disable daytime running light in the menu. (Feb 04 model)

so can any one with a e60 goto the dealer and get the latest idrive software for all these cool toys
is the idrive the same piece of hardware since 04 and just been software updates, or has the actual idrive hardware been evolving as well?
