Dosen't care! It's not illegal to drive with parking lights + foglights in daytime light conditions here... But when its dark it's not allowed.. Foglights + lowbeams (as your avatar ) Is not legal here

That is why I'm driving on a private race track at that time just so I can turn my foglights on

Foglights are about the most useless lighting aid that has ever been invented.

ice:

In Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland, the daytime running lights is lowbeams 24-7.

The checkbox in Idrive will not be enabled when you bring the car in for a CIP update in Norway, Sweden, Denmark or Finland, because it's mandatory!

The "A" mode to the left as Peter said, is not working the same way here in Denmark and Sweden as it is in Germany.. If you select A-mode to the left now your headlights will use the light sensor and turn them on when it's getting dark. If I on my Swedish/Danish sold car set the switch in position A or "lowbeams ON" They will be on when the engine is running... So I can't use the lightsensor to a damn thing

You will need to tell you dealer to activate the lights when you bring it in for serice! It dosen't cost more than 150-300 NOK...

I actually turn on the headlights manually every time I drive the car... At daytime = Angeleyes with foglights and at night = xenon
Are you sure it won't help by updating the CIP? By the way, is CIP the iDrive software? Is it best to have the newest installed at all time? How can I find out what is newest version BMW offer and which version have installed? Hope u can help me.

Only the dealer can tell you what software version you have installed. An upgrade is only installed when it will correct a fault you have with your car that is corrected by the software upgrade.

I got no probs with auto-light, when it is too light day, I switch on manually, I like the look of angels w fog BUT IT IS NOT LEGAL you blind everything and Iceman is right on this w

once by chance/"accident" pushed the fogs, and the cop controlling traffic asked me if I see any fog??? OWTF ok said sorry and switch it off, all the Peugeots and Renaults are proud to have that on 24 Hs, I find also stupid.

Daytime normally if real good conditions you can drive w angels only, but it is still not legal, but they do not care, once I forgot them on at nite in the city and no probs were with police although they saw Mamba comming
