EU has actully also three time zones!

Western European Time GMT: UK, Ireland and Portugal

Central European Time, GMT + 1: ie Germany, Sweden, France and Spain

Eastern European Time GMT +2: ie Finland and Greece

Is that Europe?

How's this for funny -- I went away this weekend for a quick little family trip in the Honda Odyssey and guess what? The clock, programmed to automatically get the time and DST information from satellites, didn't advance one hour like I expected! I mean, in the past, I've watched it change in front of my eyes as I crossed into another time zone while driving along.

Is it possible that the GPS satellites weren't patched properly? I double-checked the Honda settings and it's clearly set for automatic DST and automatic time. The only other thing I can think of is that the DST dates are stored in the car and it just gets time and date information from the birds...

in my garmin, you have to specify which zone your'e in (PST in my case). i'm curious if it will add an hour by itself if I drive to Denver...

Could it be possible that DST was invented so American have more daylight to shop?

Yeah, that's what I think too. Obviously, the date change logic is stored in the car so Honda will likely have a patch...
