the sport bumper is a little lower simply for looks, and maybe for some aerodynamic purpose.

just get her fixed, and make it a lesson learned, to not pull up far.

....... Why can't BMW offer the same looks with another inch of clearance, or is this a profit center for the dealers???
If that is a profit center, then they are not getting much from me, because I would never spend $500 for bumper realignement at the dealer.
I have added front lip (splitter) to the M-tech bumper and learned not to park to close since. My advice to you is get used to it.

I hate to revive this topic, but after three repairs to the front bumper on my 2009 550i, I'm really paranoid, Iv'e never had a car with this issue. The 09 550 with sport sits lower than all other BMW's that I have owned. It's weard, the car is not lower at the center on the bumper, just at the sides of the bumper, so if you back out of a space and turn your wheel, the car gets a bit lower yet and grabs the parking bumper. It won't rub on the way in, only out.

I have already complained to BMWNA, all they had to do was make the dam bumper .05" higher and it would have been just fine, I have spoken with two different dealerships and both have confirmend that this is a major issue along wit the 335i w/sports.

I hate worrying about driving my car like this, I would like to see BMW recall these bumpers.

Dude, you can't be serious. Go on blame it on BMW for building the fcuking low car instead of blaming yourself for not being careful.
That's an American way anyway.

Why don't you just back out straight without turning the wheel?

My advise is: Get used to it or get a stock bumper to replace the M-Tech.

Maybe someone mentioned this ... but after several bouts of this I now back into the spots where there are those parking stops.

BTW I had my bumper reset for $75.

Your a jackass, You know nothing about the 2009 550i with sport pkg. For 2009, BMW stopped using R/F tires, the new tire is even a lower profile and with the Mkit, the car sits lower. I have been driving BMW since the early 70's, please don't talk to me about taking responcibily, and I'm not your dude,

For every pleasure there is a pain... you can always get a airbag kit like the Lambo's do to raise it when needed.
