That is not as bad as I thought. I think PDC would have picked it up. PDC picks up the large rocks in my parking area that are a little lower than the PDC sensors. I hope it isn't to hard and ling to fix.

Here's the estimate:

Replace Bumper cover W/O PDC $329.00

Replace Trunk Lid $414.00

Replace Nameplate (545) $26.00

Replace Emblem (BMW) $14.00

-Add Labor and Paint-

Body Labor 8.1 hrs @ $38.00

Paint Labor 19.1 hrs @ $38.00

Paint Supplies $401.10

Body supplies $ 25.55

Misc. $174.00

Grand Total with tax $2480.00

Fix Divot on front hood $85.00

Now how much was the PDC option.........they should have a dumb ass smily!

P.S. I'm keeping the 545 emblem and Roundel, any suggestions for their future use, besides a coaster.

Ornament over the rearview mirror?

Wuz he in CC mode in reverse?

I can't get over the expense of fixing these "minor" mishaps. Heaven help us if we really damage one of these things in two or three years -- totaled for sure.

Problem with PDC is it only does the front and back - not the sides! My recent experience with a rock happened on the side, so my PDC never detected it.

I share your pain with the cost to fix it, but ya gotta do it. It never feels right if you don't fix it or if you take shortcuts.

BTW - did you hit the "le culprit" or did "le culprit" hit you?

Another problem with PDC is that it is too darned slow. I really want it when firing up and backing out of a nose first parking spot. I'm usually through reversing and going forward before ole PDC wakes up.

I think jtxc backed into le culprit. He was moaning the case yesterday. I feel real sorry for anyone who skins or get skinned. Not a good day - week - month - have another drink . . .

I was going about 1 IPH (inch per hour)

Yes yes I hit the green monster.

KS - I'll consider those suggestions, I like the belt buckle one a lot!

Anyone........How much was/is PDC as an option?
