Sorry to hear that. I would propose that we give him or her one week time to admit his/her fault. Otherwise all the people here in our forum will simultaneously wish him/her a disastreous engine failure. Maybe that helps.

I just paid ?160 for a 120 mile return trip (2 people, 8 days) to Gatwick in a Lexus "cab".

For exactly the potential reason you describe...

Well had my e60 since 20th May 2006 and already some total w****r has bumped into it and left a 6" long scrape on the back bumper between the PDC sensors

The really annoying thing is that I know for sure this happened in the company car park at work and there are only 5 spaces there including mine and no-one has admitted it (so far).

I've tried to polish it out and it looks better but I think I'm going to have to get some professionals to see to it. :'(

Sorry to burden you all with this but had not vent my frustration!
Sorry for you mate but $hit just happens, go to you inssurance and claim on it, then ask a new from your dealer, this is how I got my ///M

This is exactly why when my new 550 arrives, I want to move it into my living room and use it as a large coffee table. I really don't want to put any miles on it or risk any shopping cart incidents. A light dusting every week will suffice. The night vision will come in handy for peering into the kitchen when the lights are off in my house.

Thanks for the support guys

Obviously this is one of those things but it's hard to take so soon into a new car ownership

Nevermind, I'm loving everything about the car so far this is just a small fly in the chardonnay!

If this will make you feel better!

This happened last Wednesday when my wife took it to work. She hit a curb in the tight entry ramp.

The car is less than 2 months old, just past 3000km!!

It's going into the shop next Monday to get the whole front cap replaced. May be I'll sell the damaged piece on eBay to recover some $$. Anybody here interested??

It's actually pushed in from the front edge and the bottom bellowed out. If I have time and the know how I could probably do some plastic surgery and fix it.

Yea my dad's old car an E430 he had cracked the fiber glass exactly where yours was hit, only difference was that it turned into an accordian. My body guy looked at it, fixed it without replacing it, by just straighening it out, sanding and painting. he said that if you fix it within two days something about the chemical composition allows fiberglass to be molded back into place.

just a thought.
