i brought my car in for service and they ended up scratching my leather seat. I brought it back to the dealer and he said they will repair it for free. No apology or anything. He also says since the interior is old, the repaired part will stand out alot, for it will be fresh.

should i be okay with this repair? i just want my car back to the way it was... MATCHING!!!!

I would not be OK with that at all! If they get a good leather person they can blend it in to where you won't be able to tell at all. If it looks bad make them fix it.

Was this a BMW dealership? They stole your change? Unbelievable. I must live in a dealer nirvana as I don't even remove my radar detector, my two or three pairs of nice sunglasses, stashed emergency cash (in the unused ashtray), or anything from the trunk. That is, unless I'm going to need those things during the time my car has been in, which thus far has not been more than 24 hours. I've been using the same SA/dealer service dept. for five years w/o an incident.

If you mean in the center console, be careful. People have had quarters drop in and cause damage. This is not covered by warranty.

the cig lighter is still in place so i dont have to really worry about that. as a precaution ill probably use the center console to store my change.. thanks for the warning.

my service advisor finally called me yesterday evening. he said all is going welland the seat is repaired and unnoticable. the only thing they are waiting for now is my NEW steering wheel. the one that came in the care had a pointy part pointing towards the surface so i told my SA and he got the approval to replace through warranty. i hope everything turns out okay...
