The thing about bandpass boxes are they need a lot more power than a sealed box. They do sound great. What amp are you going to using?
havent picked out a amp yet,
but wus thinking about the usa amp 4000

Have you looked at JL audio's 1000/1 mono amp? I was going to go with a whole jl audio setup (2x12w6 & 2x500/1 mono amps) before I got my 550.
they cost too much, i need more watts, subs are 1500 rms i need around 4000 watts
those are nice amps,
hey hows it going? well about a year and a half ago i used to compete in db drag, bassrace...blah blah blah. with those 12s i would give them about 2.5-3 cubes in a ported box and tune the port to 32-34 hz. you were saying that you needed a 4000 watt amp? well have you upgraded your electrical system? if not i recommend a 250 or 300 amp alternator and an upgraded starter battery along with atleast one large battery just for that amp.
car audio get very expensive, very quick. i had a pair of 12s that were 140 decibels loud term lab verified. no audiocontrol bs.
your elecrical system needs to be up to par before you can add any amp over 1000 watts.
i recently just got finished helping my buddy finish the stereo in his blazer, which consisted of 4 12s, 4 amps, 3 huge batteries, upgraded alternator and 10,000 watts RMS (yes 10 thousand) of power. needless to say it broke 155 decibels on a burp and a consistent 150 decibels on music.
Let me know if you need more help, id be happy to help you!
By the way that box is terrible, the only bandpass box that is worth building is a 7th order bandpass, which will physically not fit in our cars.

i really need to know how your electrical system is in your E60. if you dont upgrade your electrical you WILL have major problems. you could fry your amp due to low voltage, you WILL cook the voice coils on your subs and you will possibly fry other electrical equipment in your E60. i know all this stuff from first hand experience.
