So I have seen several posts that there is a cupholder fix available at the dealer. One said its a 30minute job. really? Any comments? Reference to bulletins?

They just have to upgrade the software and the can stops tilting. Just kidding!

Yeah, it's reprogrammed. Works great for coffees, but the teas are still popping out.

I was told by a shop forman on 10/27 that there is a new TSB on the cup holder. He said BMWNA sent a video showing how to do the mod. The way the shop formum described it was similar to the mod described in an earlier thread, that included filing down some of the parts so that the semi-circular "leaves" do not exertso much upward force.

This is true. My service advisor also told me that they have been instructed on how to "file" down a piece that stops the "tilting" of cups in the cup holders. I went to have this done on Friday, but the car had to stay the weekend due to the oil leak I reported in another thread. I can let you know how it goes on Monday. (assuming I'm not awaiting new engine...ugh) I was told the cupholder fix was a 30 minute process.

A recall issue, for a cupholder! LOL

What's wrong with the cupholder anyway? Not big enough for the buckets you guys call cups.

We've had that one. Just take the spring from the bigger inner flap and they're fine..
